The ABCRA are excited to be hosting the Great Australian Round up Stockman’s Challenge in January 2019.
STOCKMANS CHALLENGE UPDATE
GET YOUR WILD CARD ENTRIES IN
Due to current weather conditions and heat the decision has been mad to slightly alter the Stockman’s Challenge event timetable. The whole event will be run on Saturday 19th of January. Program of events is below. Events will begin at 8:00 on Saturday, however registration office will be open from 3pm on Friday 18th of January 2019. Due to time constraints the pack horse section has now been replaced with an obstacle course/whip crack. Those nominated for the Poley Buckjump will NOT be required to crack a whip during the poley buckjump.
All competitors will be supplied with a Great Australian Round up Stockman's Challenge Rule Book.
STOCKMAN'S CHALLENGE ORDER OF EVENTS
Cattle work – NO dog to be used - Similar to Campdraft pattern
Dry Work – Pattern to be supplied
Obstacle Course/Whip Crack – Pattern to be supplied. Obstacle course to be completed then Whip Crack component to be done.
Horse Shoeing – Must put shoes on 1 front and 1 hind foot.
Poley Buckjump – No Whip Crack is required. Competitors are able to ride in either a fender or poley saddle.
THROW YOUR HAT IN THE RING AND ENTER THE STOCKMAN'S CHALLENGE
. Competitors will need to enter by 5pm Friday 11th of January 2019. Please fill in the entry form attached and send back to firstname.lastname@example.org Competitors wishing to compete in the Poley Buckjump must nominate at the time of entry. Only 6 competitors will compete in the Poley Buckjump, this will be the top 6 in the standings of the event who nominated. Points from all events will contribute to the overall winner. Prize money will be paid to 4th with the overall winner also receiving a buckle. The winner of the Poley Buckjump will take home $500.00 as an additional prize.
