2022 ABCRA National Finals

The ABCRA board is excited to announce its flagship event – the National Finals – will run in a new format for 2022.

The 2022 National Finals Series will be run across two competition timeslots, with the campdraft section to run in November 2022, followed by rodeo in January 2023.

The creation of the two events will see the campdraft point score finish on 31 July, 2022, while the rodeo point score will run until 30 November.

The process of qualifying for the National Finals will remain the same.

We’re all about supporting our sports, so the change in format will also allow all members to get involved.

The campdraft section of the National Finals Series will be held at the Australian Equine and Livestock Event Centre from 17 to 20 November.

In addition to the National Finals Campdraft, we will also be running a full Campdraft program and feature rodeo, which will be open to all financial members to compete. The campdraft section of the National Finals will also see the inaugural running of the ABCRA’s Stockman’s Challenge.

We’re very excited to be able to offer our members and competitors a Stockman’s Challenge for the very first time. We have plans to turn this into an annual event.

The rodeo section of the National Finals Series will run in January 2023, during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

It was important for the Board to ensure a part of our National Finals continued to run in the traditional January timeslot.

The Senior & Junior Rodeo National Finals will run across three rounds, and in addiction a feature campdraft is planned.

The ABCRA is now working to finalise programs and event schedules for the National Final Series.

While the new format differs from tradition, we believe the 2022 National Finals Series will continue to put the spotlight on our top competitors.
